Clémence is French-American by birth and a global citizen at heart, driven to create impactful change at scale. Her focus is on supporting E8 to acquire, partner with, and scale profitable businesses providing goods or services through sustainable means or with business models that directly foster positive social and environmental impact. Clémence’s portfolio ranges from green-tech companies tackling reforestation, food security, water treatment, and waste management to health and education businesses promoting gender equality.
She believes that by promoting circular economy principles, the investment community can encourage innovation and responsible resource management. Clémence is particularly interested in working with women-owned businesses, and is dedicated to addressing the gender gap for women-led SMEs seeking financing.
Prior to joining E8, Clémence dedicated over a decade to leading humanitarian and development initiatives in reproductive health and rights, as well as gender-based violence. She has held leadership roles in various NGOs and UN agencies in complex settings such as Honduras, Senegal, Ukraine, Syria, and Mozambique, where she managed teams, oversaw large-scale operations, and contributed to strategic planning and capacity building. Clémence also co-founded a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading the entrepreneurial mindset in Central America.
Clémence holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Georgia (USA) and a joint Master's of Public Health from the Andalusian School of Public Health (Spain) and the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) and is currently enrolled in the Advanced Principles of Responsible Investing course from the PRI Academy.
Both English and French are considered her native languages, and she also speaks Spanish and Portuguese. In her spare time, Clémence enjoys painting, hiking, traveling, reading, volunteering, and making colorful salads.
